A new MOBA has entered the arena: Arena of Fate

It's interesting how every single company is trying to churn out a MOBA. Crytek is the latest one to try this, by releasing Arena of Fate, a 5v5 Multiplayer Online Battle Arena featuring different folk tale characters in game play similar to that of League of Legends and Dota 2. During Gamescom 2014, they released the full trailer for the game with Red Riding Hood explaining the game, and the objectives.

While the MOBA genre may all look the same, each game always tries to innovate the genre by being a step higher than each other. So the important question here is, what does Arena of Fate bring to the table that Dota 2, League of Legends, Heroes of Newerth, and other MOBAs don't? According to the trailer, the game lasts a maximum of 20 minutes, and is based on objectives or scoring. You can either win by outscoring, or by having more points at 20 minutes. Other than that, everything looks very standard.

Will this game be able to run with the giants, namely Dota 2, and League of Legends? Only time will tell, but the game itself is very interesting because of the points system. I'm surely going to try it out once it comes out.

So here's the trailer for all of you to see!
